Avalon Creation Co., Ltd is a small scale company located in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. It has been registered in 2001 to promote and market the creations of Alain Vachaudez, model maker.

 

Avalon Creation presents an exclusive collection of lead free pewter figurines inspired by the world of Faeries. This Faerie Collection consists of more than 150 models: tiny figurines, larger ones and an expanding range of decor and tableware.

 

A Faery Jewelry Collection, plated with silver or gold, has been launched in 2008 and will, as do the pewter figurines collection, expand every year.

 

These two collections are available for medium or large scale distribution and form the core of Avalon Creation’s products.

 

The Chiang Mai valley is a center for handicrafts, with a massive skilled workforce and well established factories exporting worldwide. Throughout the years, Avalon Creation has worked with many of them, and selected those that provide work according to our standards. Therefore, we can create custom items on request. As an addition to the design and casting work, we can include a wide variety of items to personalize creations designed especially on order, e.g. boxes, crystals, resins, enamels, textiles, leather, etc.

 

We can create your own collection, based on a very specific demand or rough ideas. We provide a complete service, from model making to casting and additional finishing tasks. We can not take care of personalized packaging.

 

Alain Vachaudez, is a model maker born in Belgium and settled in Thailand since 1985. He first enjoyed the pristine islands of the South for a few years before heading up North to find his “home”.

 

Alain was born in the Belgian countryside. At the age of 18, he moves to Brussels to attend painting courses at the Academie des Beaux-Arts. Courses are attractive, but can’t beat the real focus of the 60’s: the cultural revolution and the quest for a better society with spiritual awareness. He then hits the road to explore Mediterranean, South American and oriental civilizations and gather information about their religions, cultures and crafts by settling long periods in selected areas.

 

The higher drives of South American mountains will get him hooked for a while, followed by an extended period studying Egyptian culture, thus perfecting his acute sense of proportions as well as his understanding of symbolic designs. He then moves to the higher Himalayan plateaux and explores Indian, Muslim and Sufi cultures, keeping Heart and Mind open to the magic underlying all reality.

 

Time goes unnoticed for the passionate one. Alain finds himself in the mid-eighties with a strong desire to settle down and materialize his creative visions. He heads to Thailand. After a brief return to painting, he starts practicing sculpture, focusing on the technique of lost wax.

 

In more than 15 years carving wax and assembling various materials, he has created hundreds of figurines, patterns, decorware, bronzes and more.

 

His Faeries Collection, containing more than 150 figurines, can be seen as a reflection of his esoteric and cultural quest. His skills allow him to carve intricate jewelry as well as more massive bronze items.

 

Alain has carved for years to supply specific creations to high standard design and jewelry businesses in Chiang Mai, where he is reputed as a skilled and professional model maker with a wide creative field. He also creates items for customers outside Thailand.
